this ticket is for a private tour with the artist. you may bring as many people with you as you like. other days and times are available, please email lisa at lisa waud dot com to discuss.
a visit to memory forest offers exploration of the work and includes interactive elements. you are welcome to bring a picnic or drinks and enjoy the unnatural nature as you might on a hike in a forest. this show will also offer a gallery of paintings i completed 2019-2023 in my art-seeking travels in the SW and western states: marfa and austin texas, los angeles and joshua tree california, portland oregon, and points between.
memory forest will be open may 3rd-17th, and is the first of three projects of my studio residency in the boyer campbell building in the detroit design district of the milwaukee junction neighborhood.
notes:
memory forest is wheelchair-accessible through a ramped entrance at the back of the building. look for signage. additionally, if you let us know in your ticket purchase notes that you have accessibility requirements, we can accommodate you more efficiently.
uncharacteristically for my usual work, this exhibition is not kid-friendly for free-range children. if your child enjoys museums, this will be an interesting show for them. my next two shows, petrichor and portrait, will be well suited for them if they are high energy and enjoy interaction.
